Family photo sessions are designed to be relaxed, gentle, and full of real connection. You don’t need perfection — just yourselves. A little preparation will help everything flow smoothly on the day.
Outfit Styling
Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your family.
Creams, beige, soft greys, muted pastels and earthy tones work best.
Please avoid large logos, bold patterns, and bright colours.
Coordinating colours (rather than matching exactly) creates a timeless look.
Comfort is key — especially for little ones.
If you’re unsure, start with mum’s outfit and build everyone else’s around it.
Comfort Comes First
Happy children make for beautiful photographs.
Choose clothing that feels comfortable and familiar.
Bring a spare outfit for younger children, just in case.
Simple shoes or bare feet often look lovely and natural.

Timing Your Session
Whenever possible, sessions are scheduled around naps and feeds.
Well-rested children are more relaxed and settled.
Morning or early afternoon usually works best for younger children.
Little Tummies
A small snack before your session can help avoid tiredness or tears.
Avoid sugary or messy foods beforehand.
Feel free to bring quiet snacks along, just in case.
Prepare Your Children
Let your children know the session will be fun and easy.
There’s no pressure to sit still or smile on cue.
We’ll chat, cuddle, play and move naturally.
The most beautiful moments happen when children are simply being themselves.

Comfort Items
A favourite teddy, toy or blanket can be very reassuring for little ones.Even if it’s not included in photos, it can be a wonderful comfort between shots.
Trust the Process
Children don’t need to behave “perfectly”.
Wiggles, giggles, cuddles and quiet moments are all welcome.
Some of the most meaningful images come from real, unscripted interactions.
Most Importantly…
Take a breath and enjoy the experience.Your children will take their lead from you. When you relax, they relax too.My role is to gently guide you and capture your family exactly as you are — naturally, beautifully, and with care.
