Creams, beiges, greys, soft pastels, and earthy tones work especially well. Once your session is booked, I’m happy to offer styling guidance to help you feel confident and coordinated. Can grandparents or extended family join the session? Yes, absolutely. Extended family sessions are very welcome, including grandparents and other close family members. Please let me know in advance so I can allow enough time and plan the session comfortably. What if my children won’t sit still or cooperate? That’s completely normal — and expected! My family sessions are relaxed and child-led, allowing children to move, play, and be themselves. I gently guide the session and capture natural interactions, smiles, and genuine moments without forcing poses. Where do family photography sessions take place? Family sessions can take place in my Bristol studio, outdoors at parks and beautiful locations around Bristol, or as lifestyle sessions in a relaxed, natural setting. We can choose the option that suits your family best. How long does a family photography session last? Most family sessions last around 60 minutes. This gives plenty of time for children to settle, play, and relax, while allowing me to capture a variety of natural and posed family portraits. Are family sessions suitable for babies and toddlers? Yes! Family photography sessions are suitable for babies over 4months, toddlers, and children of all ages. As a mum of two, I understand how to work patiently and calmly with little ones to create beautiful, stress-free images. Can we include pets in our family photos? Yes, pets are part of the family too! Pet-friendly sessions are welcome, especially for outdoor family photography. Just let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly. When is the best time to book a family photoshoot? I recommend booking a few weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons such as spring and autumn. Weekend availability is limited, so early booking is advised. How many images will we receive? Family photography packages start from £350 and include a set number of professionally edited digital images. You’ll have the option to upgrade your gallery, as well as purchase albums and wall art if you wish. Do you offer prints, albums, or wall art? Yes. Your images can be presented as custom-designed albums, wall art tailored to your home, or a simple digital collection. I’ll help you choose the best option to display your family portraits beautifully. Is family photography safe and relaxed? Absolutely. Sessions are unhurried, calm, and family-focused, with plenty of breaks if needed. Your comfort — and your children’s happiness — always comes first.
